The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 is a robust 2U rack server designed to accommodate up to two 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Platinum processors, each with a maximum power of 205W. Memory capacity can reach up to 9TB, utilizing 24 DIMM slots with 128GB DIMMs and Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory, operating at speeds of 2666/2933MHz TruDDR4. For expansion, it offers up to 7 PCIe 3.0 slots, including one dedicated for a RAID adapter. The server supports a flexible configuration of drive bays, allowing for up to 14x 3.5″ or 24x 2.5″ hot-swap bays, with options for 12x AnyBay and 24x NVMe bays, alongside 2x M.2 boot drives configured in RAID 1. In terms of RAID and HBA support, it offers hardware RAID with up to 24 ports and 16 ports for HBA. Security features include TPM 1.2/2.0, hot-swap capabilities for drives, fans, and power supplies, ensuring reliability even under continuous operation at 45°C. Networking options comprise 2/4-port 1GbE and 10GbE LOM configurations, plus a dedicated management port.
