AW555A Overview

The HP MSA2 and MSA2000 controller enclosures, along with large form factor expansion enclosures, are designed to accommodate specialized HP SAS disk drive modules. These modules feature unique firmware and trays distinct from other HP storage arrays and Proliant servers. Attached to the back of the disk drives are SAS interposers that convert the native dual port SAS interface to an SCA-40 connector, which, while resembling a Fibre Channel (FC) connector, does not utilize the FC protocol.
