The POWER9 scale-out series introduces entry servers that are fully cloud-enabled right from the start, featuring integrated PowerVM Enterprise capabilities. Enhanced by on-chip analytics, clients can optimize workload performance at varying processor frequencies. Built-in Live Partition Mobility facilitates seamless migration from older Power Systems to the new POWER9 infrastructure. Additionally, the S914 server comes equipped with advanced security features to safeguard against current and emerging threats.
The Power S914 server supports single-processor configurations, offering options for 4-core (2.3 to 3.8 GHz), 6-core (2.3 to 3.8 GHz), or 8-core (2.8 to 3.8 GHz) POWER9 processors, all within a 19-inch rack-mount, 4U drawer or desk-side setup. It accommodates up to 16 DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting memory configurations of 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB at speeds of 2133, 2400, and 2666 Mbps, enabling a maximum memory capacity of 1024 GB.
