Designed as a 2U rack server, the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 supports dual 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Platinum processors with a maximum power of 205W. It offers an impressive memory capacity of up to 9TB, utilizing 24 DIMM slots with 128GB DIMMs and Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory, operating at 2666/2933MHz TruDDR4 speeds.

The server includes up to 7 PCIe 3.0 expansion slots, featuring various riser options, including one dedicated PCIe slot for RAID adapters. Storage capabilities are robust, accommodating up to 14x 3.5″ or 24x 2.5″ hot-swap bays, with options for 12 AnyBay bays and 24 NVMe bays, plus the ability to support up to 2 M.2 boot drives configured in RAID 1.

For data management, the system supports HW RAID with up to 24 ports and flash cache, while security features include TPM 1.2/2.0, PFA, and hot-swap/redundant components. Networking options include 2/4-port 1GbE or 10GbE LOM, alongside a dedicated management port.
